MCLP can make the entire project easy and fun. With over 30 years experience in jewelry production, we are ready willing and able to assist you. Pins for any budget are available from our factory. Simply complete and submit a free online Quote Request form. A sales staff member will contact you within 24 hours to confirm your request as well as give you an estimate on the cost of your project.
Artwork
Do you have production ready art? Great! This will save time in the production of your pin. If you do not have production art, we can use anything from a photo to a sketch or even an idea of what you would like for your pin. We have a team of artists ready to help!
Once we have agreed on the price and production time, one of our in-house artists will create a digital color design proof of your pin and email it to you.
To begin processing your order, all you need to do is accept our quote and confirm your production art proof. It is that simple. We accept all major credit cards.

Want Your Trading Pins to Sizzle & Pop?
Trading pins are valued based on their unique appearance, size and upgrades. The more unique your pin, the more other teams will want to trade for you pin. This creates what is known as "Trading Pin Power". Trading Pin Power can make teams trade several of their pins, a single pin of yours. There are many methods to add Trading Pin Power to your design, but the most important factor is size. The larger your trading pin, the more Trading Pin Power it will have. The average pin is 1.75 - 2.25 inches. Another way to increase your Trading Pin Power is with pin upgrades such as; glitter, dangles, sliders, spinners, cut-outs, sparklers, bobble heads, and gemstones. As an example, a trading pin that is 2" with 2 sparklers and a spinner could easily trade for 3 or more standard pins. If you want Trading Pin Power on your pins, be sure to let us know, and we’ll create a pin that everyone at the tournament will be talking about!
When to Order?
Trading pins are normally ordered at the beginning of each season. But don't forget to design special divisional, regional or World Championship pins as well! Remember, the further your team goes in playoffs and tournaments, the more sought after your custom designed trading pins will become.
Production Time:
Our in-house staff of custom trading pin designers and production experts will be here to help 24-7. Free color proofs delivered to you via email show a full-sized digital drawing of your pin design prior to production. Now is the time to make any changes you desire. Once you approve the design, your custom trading pins will be manufactured in 18 days or less for pins sized to 2". Larger trading pins or those with accessories take slightly longer to produce.
How Many & What Size, What Quantity?
While quantity estimates depend somewhat on the number of tournaments (and the size of the tournaments), a good average is 25 to 50 trading pins per player. Sizes range from 1.5 inches to 3.0 inches with the 1.75 inch and 2 inch trading pins being the most popular.
How Much Do Custom Trading Pins Cost?
The price of custom trading pins is determined by:
- The quantity of pins ordered.
- The size of the trading pins (1.5" to 3").
- The type of pin (Ferris Soft Enamel, High End Soft Enamel, Photo Etched or Printed).
- The quantity and design of any upgrades you choose for your custom trading pins.

In this process, we engrave your image into a hardened die. Next we use a multi-ton press to strike the image into an iron sheet. We then cut the metal to meet your design specifications and electroplate with the finish you require. The following step is to apply soft enamel colors into the metal channels as dictated by your art. Note: with soft enamels we can Pantone color match! The spaces holding enamels are partially filled leaving raised borders and design elements above the color. At this point the enamel is heated at 90ºC in order to cure the soft enamel. Here, we have the option to finish the product, leaving the textured surface or apply a protective coating of epoxy that adds a lustrous almost liquid appearance and creates a smooth surface!
